Riding up on the
hilly road from Mushroom Beach to Jungut Batu Beach (where our hotel is) on the day of our arrival in Nusa
Lembongan, we saw a beautiful panoramic view of Jungut Batu Beach with berthing
boats along the shore, turquoise water on the left and villages on the right.
As we were traveling on the shuttle truck, we didn’t have to chance to pull
over for photos, we made it a point to visit this place the very next day,
before we headed out for Devil's Tear and Dream Beach.
It was only
approximately 5 minutes ride away from Jungut Batu Beach, and we only stopped
briefly before continuing with our ride. When the sky is clear, one could see
Mount Agung in a distance, but we weren’t so lucky that day as it was covered
by clouds.
The view could be
better if it was slightly higher up and unobstructed. From the photo you can
clearly see that our view was slightly blocked by some outgrown bushes and
trees.
It was a little cloudy that day and Mount Agung is not visible |
Cost
Like other
attractions on Nusa Lembongan, there are no entrance fee charged on Devil’sTear. You can park right at the road side or in front of the restaurant for
free.
How to get there
Panorama Point is only
5 minutes away from Jungut Batu Beach, up on a hill, in front of Panorama View Restaurant. You can do
this as a stopover when you ride over to Mushroom Beach, Jungut Batu Beach, Devil's Tear and Dream Beach.
If you’re
travelling over from Bali, you’ll most likely arrive at Mushroom Beach ferry
port in Nusa Lembongan. From here you can grab a scooter for around RP 70,000
per day. Otherwise, you can barter with local motor taxi (or ojek as the
Balinese called it) to take you around the island. Coming in a big group? You
can also hire a driver to drive you around for about RP 500,000 to RP 600,000.
Staying in Bali but still want to do a day trip to Nusa Lembongan? Fret not, as
there are also tour package available which includes return speedboat to Lembongan,
driver and guide as well as hotel pick up and drop off. This can be easily
arranged through your hotel in Bali.
As everywhere on
Nusa Lembongan is reachable within a 30-minute drive, exploring the island with
a scooter would be the most recommended option.

Best Time to Visit
On a clear weather, Mount Agung is visible
across the ocean. However, when we stopped by at 6.30am and 10.30am in the
morning, Mount Agung were hiding away shyly behind the clouds. I did saw some
clear shot of Panorama Point with Mount Agung clearly visible in the
background, over the internet, so I guess it’s depending on your luck.
Epilogue
Pale in comparison
with the rest of the attractions in Nusa Lembongan, Panorama Point is easily
overlooked by visitors. In fact, it didn’t even show up on most bloggers’ list
of attractions. This is inevitable as the view wasn’t that interesting. However,
there’s no harm to stop by as you ride pass this place on your way to other
attractions on Nusa Lembongan. It wasn’t my favourite but who said it can’t be
yours, right?
