Ranging from budget bunk beds to mid-range hotels and luxury resorts, Nusa Lembongan has plenty of accommodation for every type of travellers, and the cutest stay are normally located on the strip of the beach itself. Think infinity pool, beautiful thatch-roofed huts and on-site restaurant and bar overlooking the beach!
Saw this and thought it's another attraction, only to find out that it's a resort! |
Water Blow Huts is one of such accommodation which we came across while navigating our way to
Dream Beach. We were following Google Map and made a wrong turn to the road leading us to Water Blow Huts.
Built on top of a cliff with the amazing view of Dream Beach |
Curious about this place, and wondering whether it was yet another attraction, we pulled over and stepped in only to find that we have entered a beachfront accommodation with a view of Dream Beach. The on-site restaurant was opened to the public for breakfast, so we took the chance to walk around.
Dining area, opened for outsiders as well |
Like any other hotels here, tours can be arranged here |
Guests seen having their morning coffee and breakfast in quiet, peaceful setting |
No one at the pool as it was too early |
I like the view of this swimming pool |
What I love most about this resort is the viewing deck perching over the cliff, where you can get a clear view of Dream Beach. Simply stunning!
The viewing deck. See the seat there? I think it's a great spot to have your morning coffee or evening beer while enjoying the view |
Tried our best with self-timer |
Enjoying the view |
See the beautiful sea behind me? |
There, on the right is Dream Beach |
This is a great escape from the crowd of Mushroom Beach and Jungut Batu Beach if you like staying in a quiet place |
Though we didn’t end up having our breakfast there, I enjoyed the view from the deck and poolside, and even managed to snap a few photos in front of the huts, pretending I was a guest. Haha!
Main design here is the hut with thatch-roof |
I peeped into one of it when the staffs were doing housekeeping and it's quite pretty inside |
Pretending to stay here |
Pretending to stay in a beautiful hotel I never book seemed like my specialty for the day as I also did the same in another resort I came across later that day in Nusa Ceningan - Le Pirate Beach Club! More on that in my next post. If you like anything chic and stylish, you've got to check that out!

How to get there
If you’re travelling over from Bali, you’ll most likely arrive at Mushroom Beach ferry port in Nusa Lembongan. From here you can grab a scooter for around RP 70,000 per day. Otherwise, you can barter with local motor taxi (or ojek as the Balinese called it) to take you around the island. Coming in a big group? You can also hire a driver to drive you around for about RP 500,000 to RP 600,000. Staying in Bali but still want to do a day trip to Nusa Lembongan? Fret not, as there are also tour package available which includes return speedboat to Lembongan, driver and guide as well as hotel pick up and drop off. This can be easily arranged through your hotel in Bali.
As everywhere on Nusa Lembongan is reachable within a 30-minute drive, exploring the island with a scooter would be the most recommended option.
Epilogue
Though over my budget, I could see myself staying in a place like this if I ever return to Bali in the future. Sometimes, we need a little pampering, and as I age, I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for a night of comfort. Well, maybe… or maybe not. Time will tell!
*wink*
The one thing that is certain about the future is its uncertainty
