B.N. Farm and The Front – Strolling Across the Cosmos Field For a Romantic Afternoon Date

Fresh fruits and vegetables direct from fields and orchard are at an offer at this farm, with availability varying according to season. Visitors can buy broccoli, iceberg lettuce, eggplants, as well as strawberries, lychees, macadamia nuts and more. They also sell preserved fruits and vegetables, often baked, candied or made into jams. Visitors can explore the vegetable plots and take a walk around the farm.

Having no interest for the vegetables, the boyfriend and I left for The Front after buying two scoops of handmade ice cream for 45 Baht each. It was a perfect dessert treat for a hot weather. Before we left, we stopped for photos at their instagrammable bamboo entrance. Turned out we weren’t the only ones eyeing the spot as a bunch of local youngsters were there as well, taking photos and videos.

The Front

Located at the other side of the road side, you will find a beautiful café and large flower field located behind it. This is The Front, owned by the same owner of B.N. Farm.

The Front

At 30 Baht per person, we were allowed to enter the flower field, where seasonal flowers, such as carnation, gladiolus, Bird of Paradise, heliconia and cosmos are in full bloom.

We spent a good half an hour at the field and only left simply because I was melting under the sun. Though Khao Kho is generally chilly in the morning, the afternoon sun could be scorching hot, so apply your sun block or bring an hat. Your skin will thank you!

How To Get There

B.N. Farm and The Front are located in Khao Kho, a district in Phetchabun Province, about 6-hour drive from Bangkok or 2-hour drive from Phitsanulok. We rented a car from Bangkok and drove to Khao Kho, however you can also take a car charter, a public bus or fly to Phitsanulok and rent a car there.

Once you are in Khao Kho, everywhere is reachable within an hour away. Both B.N. Farm and The Front are located just 15-min drive away from Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew and Pino Latte, and 15 minutes from Khao Kho Wind Farm. If you are travelling from Phu Thap Boek, you will need to drive one hour to reach here.

Epilogue

Having missed the sunflower field at Lopburi, I was compensated with a vast cosmos field at The Front, and even though I would still pick sunflowers over cosmos any time, The Front is still a pretty beautiful place for some OOTD shots and instagrammable photos. The same cannot be said about B.N. Farm, but the tasty ice cream made up to it.

I reckon not more than 1.5 hours for these two places combined, and you can easily just pick The Front over B.N. Farm under time constraint. While there, be sure to wear a hat or put on some sunblock! Your older self will thank you!
