The Blue Sky Resort - A Step Into An European Fairytale Resort In The Heart of Khao Kho

The Blue Sky Resort is no stranger to anyone who have read or seen news about Khao Kho. The thought of staying in this magical place crossed my mind, but it was over my budget. Although I normally travel on a budget, I do occasionally splurge a little to enjoy a comfortable stay in a decent hotel. However, a night stay over RM500 per night in Thailand still sound pretty expensive to me, so I ended up staying at Akirynya Resort instead.

Would you stay here for a night or two?

Good news is, even if you are staying somewhere else, you are still able to enter this “European village” and walk around. Not just a place for accommodation, The Blue Sky Resort also has a café and a beautiful garden. All you have to do is to dine in their café or pay an admission fee (200 Baht) to enter their garden.

This place is huge

Situated in “The Little Switzerland” of Thailand, The Blue Sky Resort itself is like a little European village, with European-style cottages built on wide grassland, with the background of Thai Alps. The whole place is huge, and even though we only wandered around the compound and garden, we spent an hour there. If you are there for the café / restaurant, be prepared to spend two to three hours there.
There isn’t much to say about this place except that it’s beautiful and insta-worthy. It’s no wonder that it’s also a popular place for pre-wedding photoshoot. Without further ado, let my photos do the talking.

It feels like an European town here

Cost

Room: 5,800 Baht (RM 592 / SGD 196)
Garden admission: 200 Baht per entry (RM 22.80 / SGD 7.50)

Tip: Do check out agoda or booking.com for occasionally discount. I heard they may go as low as RM100+ per night (possibly on low season)

How To Get There

The Blue Sky Resort is located in Khao Kho, a district in Phetchabun Province, about 6-hour drive from Bangkok or 2-hour drive from Phitsanulok. We rented a car from Bangkok and drove to Khao Kho, however you can also take a car charter, a public bus or fly to Phitsanulok and rent a car there.

For more info on how to get to Khao Kho, and what to do there, check out:

Once you are in Khao Kho, everywhere is reachable within an hour away. The Blue Sky Resort is located just 25-min drive away from Khao Kho Wind Farm and 15-min drive from Wat Phra That Pha Sorn Kaew and Pino Latte. If you are travelling from Phu Thap Boek, you will need to drive one hour and 15 min to reach here.

Address: 96 Moo 5, Tambon Khaem Son, Amphoe Khao Kho, Chang Wat Phetchabun 67280, Thailand
Opening Hours: Monday to Sarurday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (garden), daily, 7am to 9pm (café)

Epilogue

On our last day in Khao Kho, I managed to persuade the boyfriend to drop by to see what the fuss is this place about. We drove into the resort, parked our car, and started exploring the place as if we were one of the guest. Having dropped by and see the place for itself, we agreed this is the most instagrammable accommodation in town.

Every corner is instagrammable

Since we can just pay for the garden admission fee and wander around the place, is it worth paying RM500 to stay for a night? Well, that’s up to you to find out…

And that ends my last post for Khao Kho trip
